One weekend - two weddings.

This past weekend we had a fabulous time with 2 very different couples.

On Saturday we spent time with Antonia and Kenton. They were married at the Union Bank Inn. We took the family shots at the hotel and went to the muttart grounds for some of the bridal party and couple shots. We came back downtown where I think we got some of our best images them. Oddly enough during our second meeting we discovered that Kenton went to junior high with Omari so they had a small reunion at the wedding as well :) It was neat to think of what a small world we live in where lives can keep connecting even decades later. Here is the sneak peak of more images. Antonia and Kenton's Slideshow.

On Sunday we documented Chito (a.k.a Louie) and Anne's celebration. They were married in a filipino wedding done totally in that language. This was a little different for me as I didn't know what was being said and luckily the minister let me know when they were ready to do the kiss. I thoroughly enjoyed the ceremony along with the challenge of anticipating where I should be at any given moment.

It was a little cold and a bit rainy but we decided to forgo the Citadel back-up anyway and hit the museum grounds for our bridal party images. I think we got some great ones with these troopers. Chito and Anne are very sweet together and we had no problem getting some great images of the two of them. Here is their sneak peak. Anne and Chito's Slideshow.

last minute

Anne and Louis are getting married this Sunday and yesterday we went out and did an e-session so that they could have some pics of them together to show at their wedding. Anne was living in BC so they didn't have alot of pics of the both of them, but now they do. There are alot of good ones as they are a really cute couple. It wasn't hard to get them to do a bit of cuddling for me and as we walked around the Griesbach lake it was a good time to get to know them a bit. I am looking forward to seeing you in your wedding attire and documenting your special day!

Jeannett & Rob

This past Saturday we got to spend some time with Jeannett and Rob. They were a very sweet couple that just wanted to have some fun with their pics. We were lucky that it stormed in the morning before the ceremony and then it just started to drizzle again as we finished up outside with our shoot. Romance was on the back burner and the shots were made fun by Jeannett every time. I enjoyed documenting their twists on our typical shoot :) I did of course HAVE to get them kissing - I am all about the kissing! You just can't get away from that with me. I loved the blue sash on Jeannett's dress that reminded me of Cinderella. Thank you so much for sharing some time with us on your special day. It was a pleasure working with the two of you. I wish you many, many fun-filled years ahead.
Here is the link to their slideshow. Jeannett and Rob's Slideshow.
I'm behind so I will just put up the slideshow for these guys - forgive me for not posting a few of my favorite pics, you'll just have to watch the show to catch them.

Laura & Chad

I had an e-session with Laura and Chad yesterday. Once again, a really cute couple and alot of great images to chose from. They are getting married in the spring and I'm sure their wedding will be great. It takes alot of couples a little time to relax in front of a virtual stranger with a camera - these guys did great. I look forward to getting to know you a bit more in the future.

Holly and Ryan

Yep, it was a busy weekend! Holly and Ryan also had their e-session on Sunday. The pics turned out better than I even imagined! There are soo many that it is very difficult narrowing down a couple to put on the blog :) This seems to be a common problem of mine. But no I won't start taking less pictures! I loved being able to incorporate Ryan's motorbike in this shoot. I have had past couples tease me with the idea of bringing thier bikes but I haven't had the opportunity to work with one before this. I had so many ideas floating in my head before this shoot that I had to write a bunch down. We were out at just the right time to catch the sunset as well. The shot we caught of them kissing is one of my new favorites. The wedding this fall I'm sure will be a blast, we look forward to attending. Now - to put together their guest book - thank goodness that they have come to help choose their favorites.

Cindy and Billy

On Saturday we had the privledge to spend some time with Cindy and Billy. Another really great couple - we were happy to capture some of their wedding memories for them. The slideshow is still being put together so I will try to get that link up here in the next day or two. They had a fabulous antique car that we totally had fun using as our backdrop. Cindy also had an awesome dress unlike any that I have seen to date. We had a great time with the both of you and thoroughly enjoyed the live music that was at the reception. Thank you so much for including us in your special day!

Jenine and Tim

I am behind on my blogging and I apologize. On Friday, I had a fun little e-session with Jenine and Tim at the Muttart. It was raining so we stayed indoors for the majority of our time together but there was a small break in the rain when we were leaving so we took full advantage of these few moments. Jenine and Tim are such a sweet couple having been together since they were kids. I am looking forward to their wedding next year. I hope you guys have a safe journey this winter and we will see you again in the spring. I am excited to create your guest book with so many great photos from our session!

Magdiel & Scott

Last Saturday we spent the day with a very sweet couple celebrating their love for eachother. Of course there are always a few bumps on the road but I thought the day went quite well for them. The weather didn't cooperate but luckily the hotel did as well as West Edmonton Mall. We had alot of fun with this bridal party as we pranced through the mall and gained a pretty large audience while we proceeded to the ship to do a photo shoot. Our party paid the passerbys no mind and did well with our fun group shots without alot of self conciousness. After we hit the mall we had to break for lunch as most everyone had not eaten before our early ceremony. I had to admit I was hungry as well so the Wendy's break was nice. Of course Omari and I sat with our cameras on hand and there is a shot I put into the slideshow :) Then we headed back to the hotel and proceeded to do a few more intimate shots with Magdiel and Scott. After a very delicious dinner and a few quirky gifts, the party got going and we got some great dancing shots (to be seen in the slideshow). I must say that this is the one wedding that I noticed ALOT of love at. There is always much love between our couples and alot of times it is noticiable with some of the immediate family but at this particular wedding I witnessed almost every couple holding hands, hugging and caressing eachother. The kissing game helped I'm sure but whether they were together for 33 years or just dating, the love in this group was very obvious. Thank you for including us in your special day guys! It was a pleasure.

I have a few e-sessions to do later this week and I'm really looking forward to the motorbike pics with Holly and Ryan. I'm still plugging away at Diane and Adam's retouching, hopefully I will have it in to the lab by the end of this week. Next on the list is Teresa and Murray.
